David M. Ward, O.D. A life-long Idaho resident, Dr. David Ward has been providing Boise-area families with friendly, professional eye care for over 20 years.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in biology from Albertson College in 1978, Dr. Ward earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1982. He has served in various capacities for the Idaho Optometric Association.
When he's not in the office, Dr. Ward may be found camping with his wife and son or chasing bugs! As an avid amateur entomologist, Dr. Ward has traveled to Mexico numerous times for insect research expeditions. He serves as an associate researcher for the Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History at The College of Idaho, and has helped fellow researcher Bill Clark establish an insect collection at the Museo de Artro podos del CICESE in Ensenada, Mexico.

Emily Naugle , OD Optometrist, Emily Naugle, joined our team at Vision Specialties starting in June of 2008. She graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2008. She completed her undergraduate degree from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. She loves being able to help everday people, especially children, contact lens wearers, and patients with diabetes. She speaks Spanish and has travelled to Venezuela, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic in addition to living in Houston for a year. Originally from Iowa, she found love in Idaho six years ago and has been married to her husband Scott for 5+ years now. Her hobbies include hiking, volleyball, ping pong, going on mission trips, and Pictionary.

Emily Emily has been with us since 1997. She has taken over the duties at the dispensary, where her responsibilities include patient product education, assisting patients with frame selection and ordering glasses, as well as frames purchasing and dispensing eye wear. Her smiling face and cheery voice help make our office a pleasant place for patients and staff alike! When she's not working, you can find Emily in the outdoors biking, camping, and fishing with her husband and family.

Mallory Mallory is our part-time office assistant. She is currently attending Mountainview High School, where she is a student council and choir member. She has aspiration of going to BYU next year.

Angelique Originally from Mississippi, Angelique has lived in the Treasure Valley for 10 years. She has been in eye care for over 4 years and loves the interaction with patients and their families. As a paraoptometric, she is able to help people take care of their eyes and vision on a daily basis. Angelique enjoys the outdoors, in addition to spending time with loved ones. Her hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, dancing and riding horses when she gets the chance.

Becky Becky grew up in Boise and has lived here most of her life. She is the first smiling face to greet you at our office. She loves working with people, and her role in helping people see better. She is married, and has five children, four daughters and a son. She also has two grandchildren. She enjoys camping, crocheting cross stitch, traveling (especially internationally) cooking, and doing things with her family.
